"Emerging Artists of Cumberland County", Arts Council Art Gallery, Fayetteville, N.C., To support studio space for six months, culminating in the creation of a new body of creative works. Initial grant award,

"Artworks at B.R.I.D.G.E.S.". A summertime arts program, 4 consecutive years, $ yearly application totaling $2 - $3,000. Request included 2 outreach instructional positions. Funding Source: Cumberland Community Foundation, Florence Rogers Charitable Trust, Image Men, Cumberland County Arts Council.

"Art Trunks/ Resource and Training Project" Specialized resource development for Pre-school community day cares, state preschools, and HEADSTART. Initial grant award, $52,000. Request included 2, 9 month staff positions. Funding Source: SMART START/Cumberland County Partnership for Children.

"System To Access Art Resources and Reference-Ground Control, Lift-Off Stages" Initiative to adapt computer technology with a Museum library to meet education goals. Initial grant award, $8,400.00. Request included Cd rom Computer and lap top. Funding Source: Cumberland Community Foundation, Florence Rogers Charitable Trust.

"Art/Education Partnership/ Docent Recruitment Project" Funding for sustaining , staff support for the traiing, development of materials to laison with school personnel and docents. Initial grant award $3000.00. Funding Source: Florence Rogers Charitable Trust.

"Art Trunks/Resource and Training Project" Specialized resource development for K-12 grades. Initial grant award, $40,000.00. Request included 2, 9 month positions. Funding Source: Z.S. Reynolds Foundation.

"Unmasking the Museum", Resource/Construction/Development. Educational resource trunk based on the Permanent Collection of African Art aimed at junior/high school level. Initial grant award $1,000.00. Funding Source: Florence Rogers Charitable Trust and Alpha Kappa Alpha.
