8.        In 1999, I assisted Dr. Assad Tavakoli in preparing a team of MBA students (Shirley Fowler, Paul Vowoter, and Katrina Graham) who won the First Place award and $9,000 each, at the National Blank MBA Association’s Case Competition.  Our student team beat other student teams from UNC-CH, Duke University, and Wake Forest University.  Corporate judges represented Fortune 500 companies including General Motors, American Airlines, Walt Disney World, and Price-Waterhouse Coopers LLP.

Only twenty five 1996 Nissan Fellows were selected in a national competition.

17.     Nissan Corporation of North America provided a $500 discretionary faculty development grant in Nissan Fellow's name (Dr. Khalid M. Dubas) to School of Business & Economics, Fayetteville State University in 1997.

1.        My students benefited from the use of software and library and Internet resources.

2.        My courses, MKTG 410 (Marketing Management) and MKTG 412 (Sales Management), MKGT 675 (Services Marketing), MKTG 592 (Marketing Research), BADM 591 (Business Statistics I) and BAMD 592 (Business Statistics II) utilize mathematical and statistical software like Excel, SAS, SPSS, ASP.  MGMT 625 (Management Science) utilizes Expert Choice, SAS, Fortran, Java, and The Management Scientist software.

3.        Many of my courses require students to write term projects.  The students are required to visit our library to read published business literature.  They are also required to utilize business databases like ProQuest Direct available on the Internet when accessed through the Charles Chesntt Library Web page at this address: http://wwwlib.uncfsu.edu/index.htm.  The students are also required to visit other sources of information on the Internet like the company Web pages, etc. for further information.

4.        Prepared Guidelines for Using SPSS Version 10 on PC for my MKTG 592 Marketing Research class to enable students to perform (1) Chi-square test of significance and interpretation of X-tabs, (2) ANOVA using F-test to compare several means, and (2) t-test to compare two means.

5.        Prepared and enhanced a list of Sources of Free Secondary Data on the Web for my students.  This list benefits my students in MKTG 311 Introduction to Marketing, MKTG 410 Marketing Management, and MKTG 592 Marketing Research.

3.        The FSU Marketing Club provided financial support of $1,000 to the Phi Beta Lambda for their various community service projects and competition in the State Conference in 2002.

4.        The FSU Marketing Club provided financial support of $110 to the Phi Beta Lambda Angel Tree program to support some unfortunate children during 2000 Christmas season.  Phi Beta Lambda is the co-ed business student organization at FSU and is equivalent to FBLA in the public high schools.

5.        Submitted a grant proposal to the Fayetteville State University Community Outreach Partnership Activity for an amount of $1,500.  This proposal involves FSU students, through the Marketing Club, in community welfare while enhancing students’ managerial and organizational skills.  Co-authors: Khalid M.
