The Web Site Final Project will be graded according to the following rubric.  Use this rubric in conjunction with the Web Evaluation Criteria:

  Content (40%)
4 Web site clearly related to project topic, extremely well suited to assignment; demonstrates mastery of all content evaluation criteria--authority, accuracy, objectivity, currency, coverage.
3 Web site related to topic, though perhaps too large or small for assignment; shows familiarity with evaluation criteria.
2 Web site marginally related to topic, poorly chosen for assignment; omits one or two of the evaluation criteria, understanding of others superficial.
1 Web site marginally related to topic, poorly chosen for assignment; omits several of the evaluation criteria, understanding of others mistaken.
  Design (30%)
4 Web site includes a variety of design elements (text, graphics, links, etc.); demonstrates mastery of all content evaluation criteria--readability, organization and layout, clarity and ease of navigation, attractiveness; submission includes only files used, follows naming conventions.
3 Web site includes most design elements (text, graphics, links, etc.) for analysis; analysis shows familiarity with evaluation criteria; submission includes only files used, follows naming conventions.
2 Web site missing important design elements; analysis omits one or two of the evaluation criteria, understanding of others superficial; one or two links fail to work; submission includes one or two unnecessary files, one or two naming violations.
1 Web site missing most design elements, poorly chosen for assignment; analysis omits several of the evaluation criteria, understanding of others mistaken; more than two links fail to work; submission includes several unnecessary files, consistently ignores naming conventions.
  Style/Grammar (20%)
4 Essentially free of grammatical errors; concise introduction with clear thesis; extremely well organized and supported argument; cogent, summative conclusion.
3 A few grammatical errors; distinct introduction, though thesis not entirely clear; organization and examples appropriate; conclusion does not summarize the point.
2 Several grammatical errors; introduction and organization weak; conclusion weak.
1 Pattern of grammatical errors; little evidence of organization.
  Format/Submission (10%)
4 Student Name(s), E-mail address, Course and Section, Assignment, and Date clearly indicated; if working with a team, team cited; complete citation of web site; Electronic version submitted; conforms to all assignment and Electronic Submission guidelines.
3 One or two of the items above missing; citation incomplete, though URL correct; electronic version submitted with no more than one submission guideline missing.
2 More than two of the above items missing; URL incorrect; Filename vague, misleading, or incomplete; electronic version missing several guideline requirements.
1 No electronic version submitted.
