Committee Assignments: 
  • College of Arts and Sciences:
    • Black History: This committee plans, coordinates, publicizes, and implements activities and events for February in celebration of Black History Month, and throughout the year.
    • Chesnutt Arts Festival: This committee's charge is to plan, coordinate, publicize, and implement activities and events for April for the Charles Chesnutt Festival.
  • Department of Government and History:
    • Teacher Education Committee: This committee is responsible for recommendation of applicants for admission and the implementation of the Teacher Education Program.
    • Lecture Series Committee: This committee plans monthly lecture, symposium, or workshop activities.
    • International Studies/Intercultural Affairs: explores and develops strategies to enhance the international and multi-cultural content of the academic curricula and plans programs that contribute to international and intercultural understanding within the general public.
    • History Graduate Committee:  This committee is responsible for all business pertaining the graduate program in history. 
    • Black History Committee:  This committee is responsible for planning Black History Month activities for the department.

    • 1997 Chair Constitutional Revision Committee for the Faculty Senate, Minot State University
    • 1997 Lecture "Writing the Reality: Women Writers of African Descent" and Panelist--"Women and the Literary Canon" at the Women's Renaissance of Writing Conference sponsored by a North Dakota Humanities Council grant, the Minot State University Humanities Department, and the Minot Student Activities Committee.
INTERNATIONAL SERVICE
    Books for Liberia: The collection, transportation, and distribution of four tons of textbooks from Clay County School District, Florida to Bong County, Liberia in 1989
